Grant Summary:
The purpose of this program is to support community-based initiatives that provide dental care and ultimately serve as a primary dentist to underserved/limited-access children. This program is intended to promote preventive care, educate families, and foster long-term oral health habits in children by addressing barriers to care, such as transportation, language, and financial constraints, as well as by reinforcing healthy at-home habits.

Category:
All projects must be under the direct supervision of a dentist. Preference will be given to projects that will be under the direct supervision of a pediatric dentist.
Funds may be used for expenses that are directly linked to a child/children receiving regular dental care. Examples of previously funded cost categories include salaries, instruments, equipment, education materials, travel and transportation costs, meal costs, and take-home supplies.
